My name is Sister Pat Dowler. I am a Sister of the Presentation, an educator, a Registered Nurse and a licensed, Nationally Certified Massage Therapist.
Since 1964 I have been a Sister of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary and received my teacher training at Regina Coeli College (a Catholic University of America affiliate) and a Masters degree from Fitchburg State College. After teaching junior high school for 12 years, I pursued studies in Nursing at the Burbank Hospital School of Nursing and am an RN in Massachusetts. I stayed on at Burbank working as a charge nurse on a medical-surgical/orthopaedic floor for 17 years. Because of down-sizing, Burbank closed all acute care. I left and began my studies at Bancroft School of Massage Therapy in Worcester in 1996.
Presently, I work at Bancroft, as the Education Director/Clinic Director / Department Head of Regional Massage Applications III and instructor. I love my job and am passionate about my mission promoting the sacredness of the body through therapeutic massage. Working with students of massage is extremely rewarding.
Believing in the professionalism of Massage and the importance of networking, I am an active member of Mass Chapter AMTA serving as its 1st VP, a volunteer postion which is so exciting.
When time permits, I schedule clients at either my private office in Leominster, MA or at Bancroft.
